Wreck Beach

A view of the beach through the trees at sunset.

Wreck Beach stretches along the west peninsula of Point Grey, with a thin spine of the Pacific Spirit at its back. The Beach is accessible via Beach Trail #6 from the UBC campus. It used to be a clothing optional beach, but these days it's pretty empty. Party of the beach are clean sand and surf, others are dangerous rocky crags with waves pounding against the cliff face.

Storm watches used to be a popular tourist attraction, as well as whale watching. Both are still pretty spectacular sights here.
